Translation: Hermana Olmos, it is an honor for me to know that you are an obedient daughter of God. We have had many trials since we found the gospel, and also as a result of this we have had many blessings and we know that we are a family of our Father in Heaven. Thank you for being strong and firm. I feel very happy to be your mother. I love you, my love.
I am Isai and I feel content to know that you have much success in your mission. Continue on with your eye focused on the Lord. I love you so much and I am proud to be your father.

Hooray for Hermana Olmos! Thank you for being a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. We love the Sister Missionaries at our house.

I read this post earlier today, before I ran some errands. I took all of my kids to the grocery store (big mistake) and I was getting very frazzled. It was one of those days where I wanted to leave the cart full and just go home. All of a sudden one of my very favorite songs (It's Friday and I'm in Love by the Cure) came on over the speakers at the grocery store and I felt a lot better, like I could handle the candy crazed moments at the check out stand as we waited for our turn to check out.

Somehow that experience reminded me of Hermana Olmos being on the plane and being able to speak to someone else in Spanish. Hermana Olmos' testimony reminded me that the little pick me ups like speaking spanish on an airplane or favorite songs at the grocery store can ease stressful situations and let us know that Heavenly Father loves each of us.
