Samuel Borén was a talented soccer player on the cusp of a promising career when he found and was baptized into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Within just a few years of his baptism, he was called to a leadership position and had to choose between that and an offer to play in a higher-level soccer league. Although it was difficult, he felt impressed to let the soccer career go.

You can read more of Brother Borén’s story in the “Pioneers from Every Land” section of the History website of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
