About This Site

The purpose of this site is to provide a place to enjoy and share uplifting content about Mormonism and Mormon womanhood. One element of the site is to provide links to teachings of and updates from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. But our main intent is to provide a place where people can share personal, faith-based expression through a variety of media. We welcome your comments and submissions (send submissions to either one of our gmail accounts: ‘mormonwomen’ or ‘mormonwoman’).

The Mormon Women Website is not an official site of the Church, but we strive to keep the site consistent with its doctrines and purposes. The site is sponsored by the More Good Foundation. Content is constantly changing, so we invite you to return often.

Ways to Share Your Voice

This site will become more interesting and meaningful as more people (women and men) join together to explore life and faith. (While we do focus on women’s voices, we hope men will also feel welcome, and enjoy and add to our content.)

There are basically two ways to share your voice here at Mormon Women: by making comments, or by submitting creative works (or links to your work).

Make Comments

You can make comments in the comment box provided (comments are moderated, so don’t panic if your comment doesn’t show up immediately). We provide many opportunities and places for you to do this.

• Share Now: This is an easy to say what is on your mind without having to find a specific post on which to comment.
• Weekly Question: At the beginning of each week, we post a question about various topics, and we encourage your responses. Take a look at and consider commenting on past weeks’ questions as well. It’s never too late to comment. (Feel free to submit a question, too.)
• Review, Reflect, and Return: At the end of each week, we link to or post inspirational or interesting content, and we invite you to come back and share your thoughts. (Again, please let us know of content you think would be good to include here.)
• Our Thoughts: Simply click on a topic and share your thoughts.

We welcome submissions of creative works, including the following:

First Person Essays (personal experiences, conversion stories — you can even submit links to blog posts),
Poetry
Videos, Slideshows, and Other Multimedia

Photography, Painting, and other Visual Arts

More About “Who We Are”

We as women of the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are a diverse group. We live all over the world, speak myriad languages, and live with different opportunities and challenges. We are not all in the same place in our journey of faith. But there are some principles and truths that bind us together, and this site is designed to share and explore those uniting elements in our lives.

Several years ago, the female leaders of the Relief Society (the organization for women within the Church, focused on faith, families, and relief) created a document called the Relief Society Declaration. This document describes well Who We Are and who we strive to be.

Please also enjoy our site’s theme song after which the site was named (written and generously made available for this site by Tammy Simister Robinson). We chose this song because we feel it reflects the power, purpose, and joy we feel in our lives as Mormon women. Words to the song are reprinted below.

Who We Are

We are beloved daughters of God;
Born of His Spirit, blessed by His love.
Serving the Lord with purpose and strength;
Women of vision, virtue, and faith.
