You can’t fully reset to default that AirPods unless *both* AirPods are fully physically connected in the housing. The catch is that AirPods could not fully connect, even if it’s physically in the case, the case doesn’t *believe* it’s in there and won’t let you reset to default no matter how long you hold the button down.
Where is the button on AirPods 1?
The small and flush button on the back of the charging case is used to connect the AirPods also on non-Apple devices. To connect the AirPods with a device you haven’t paired with yet, place the wireless earbuds back in the case and leave the lid open.
Why do my AirPods only work in one ear?
In something cases, the problem may simply be that your AirPods are not clean. Make sure both AirPods are thoroughly cleaned. It sounds silly, but when they are full Ear Wax, they won’t work. Clean the charging case with a Q-tip where the malfunction is AirPods makes his connection.
