- Rescuers in Italy found a missing helicopter in the Apennines in the Emilia-Romagna region.
- According to the prefecture in Modena, seven passengers on board are dead.
- The site is on the top of Monte Cusna, the mountain rescue team tweeted this afternoon.
“We had the coordinates and we flew there. We found everything burned there, ”said an air force soldier in a video posted on Twitter by the military. The plot is located in a hard-to-reach area in the valley. Lifeguards would have to go there.
The helicopter was manned by a total of seven people – an Italian pilot, four Turks and two citizens of Lebanon. It disappeared without a trace from the radar on Thursday on its way from Lucca, Tuscany, to the northern Italian region of Veneto. It is still unclear why the helicopter crashed.
