In Baden AG, a collision between a motorcycle driver and a van caused a pile-up on Friday. A motorcyclist was seriously injured in an accident and had to be taken to hospital by ambulance.
The Aargau canton police informed on Saturday that the incident occurred just before 8 a.m., when a 54-year-old delivery truck driver was driving along the A1 motorway towards Zurich.
Pile of five cars
Just before Baden-Dättwil, the driver drove into the exit zone of the Baden-West motorway and collided with the handlebars of a motorcycle. The rider must have overlooked the slow traffic and then crashed into the back of the motorcycle. This, in turn, led to an accumulation of five other vehicles. All cars suffered property damage.
Another driver had to be rushed to the hospital with minor injuries. The van driver had to hand over his driving license on the spot. The exact cause of the accident is explained by the police of the Canton of Aargau. (SDA / dzc)
