Play sound and PowerPoint animation simultaneously

Have you tried playing the sound of a PowerPoint slide along with an animation but it doesn’t work? It’s all up to PowerPoint’s audio timing. By applying the correct timing to the audio file, the sound and animation can play simultaneously.

The instructions in this article apply to PowerPoint for Microsoft 365, PowerPoint 2019, PowerPoint 2016, PowerPoint 2013, and PowerPoint 2010.

  • Add animation to the object on the slide (such as a text box, image, or Excel spreadsheet).

  • Paste the sound file onto the slide.

  • Choose animations Ribbon.

  • On the right side of the volume, in the Advanced animation section, select animation area. The animation window opens on the right side of the screen.

  • Choose Timed coordination from the dialog box and choose Triggers.

  • Choose Animate as part of a click sequence and select OK.
