On Wednesday morning at 10.10 am there was an accident at work on Industriestrasse in Widnau SG. A 48-year-old man was going to mount a metal profile on the ceiling. As reported by the cantonal police in St. Gallen, stood on a makeshift pedestal.
As the man on the pedestal moved, he fell over. “The man fell over three meters to the ground,” says Kapo spokesman Florian Schneider. The 48-year-old was seriously injured. The ambulance took care of him and Regia brought him to the hospital.
Staff found him bleeding
A colleague of the 48-year-old who had an accident reports that another worker went to get the material for a short time and therefore left the construction site. “When he returned, he found a bleeding man on the floor,” says a colleague who wishes to remain anonymous. He reacted, but he didn’t know what had happened or where he was.
Then they immediately called 911. “He had two big scratches on his head and at best he broke something,” said the colleague. First the ambulance arrived, and then Rega drove him away.
