Microsoft released financial results for fiscal year 2022 and we will see how the whole year and the fourth quarter Xbox (completed at the end of June) or the video game division. In general, there is a decrease, but overall the performance is excellent.
Namely, as you can also see in the tweet below, the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2022 saw 7% drop in Xbox revenue, in line with Redmond’s expectations. That means revenue for the quarter was $3.45 billion, the second-best in the fourth quarter.
With regard to content and services, there was a decrease of 6%: this is also in line with the company’s expectations. And this result was achieved despite the growth in the number of Xbox Game Pass subscribers: the service for consoles, PC and mobile devices is central to Microsoft’s strategy, so the growth is more than positive, even with a decrease of a quarter as a whole.
We see that sale of equipment they fell by 11%: this is a figure that leaves the time it finds, given that sales at the moment are determined solely by the production capacity of the Xbox Series X | S, still limited by the lack of raw materials.
